Our Verdict
The Coleman Instant Up 6P uses a pre-attached pole system that eliminates the need to thread poles through sleeves or clip them to the tent body. The tent unfolds from its carry bag, the poles are extended and locked, and the tent is ready to stake out in around 60 seconds. This makes it one of the fastest ground tents to set up in the market. The tent sleeps up to six people in a single room configuration, with a peak height of approximately 2 metres providing comfortable standing room. The full rainfly covers the tent body and extends to the ground on all sides, providing good weather protection. Mesh panels on the upper walls and ceiling provide ventilation and reduce condensation in warm conditions. The tent is not designed for serious off-road or expedition use — it is a campground tent suited to established sites with flat, clear ground.
