Our Story
About Country Heart Outdoors
Honest buying guides and product reviews for Australians who love the outdoors — from off-grid living to 4WD adventures and everything in between.
Why We Built This Site
Country Heart Outdoors was born out of a genuine love for the Australian bush and the off-grid lifestyle. We got tired of wading through vague product descriptions and paid reviews that told us nothing useful. So we built the resource we always wished existed — straightforward, no-nonsense buying guides written for real people heading into the real Australian outback.
We cover everything from 12V fridges and solar setups to Starlink satellite communications and waterless toilets. Whether you're kitting out a caravan, setting up a remote property, or just planning your next big camping trip, we're here to help you buy smarter.
Our Principles
Honest Reviews
We call it as we see it. If a product has a flaw, we say so. Our readers trust us because we put accuracy ahead of affiliate commissions.
Australia-First
Most gear reviews are written for the US or European market. We test and review products in Australian conditions — the heat, the dust, the distances.
International Coverage
We know our readers are spread across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the USA and Canada. Every guide includes buying options for all five countries.
No Fluff
We skip the padding and get straight to what matters — specs, comparisons, real-world performance and where to buy at the best price.
